Dear SKIP Families,
In an effort to further ensure the safety of our students and to align with the district’s dismissal procedures, SKIP will be changing our dismissal procedures beginning with our afternoon students. This procedure will not only expedite the dismissal process for the children and their families, but will also prepare our children for the routine of elementary school dismissal. This change will be taking effect on Monday, February 27, when we return from Winter Recess. All of our classes will walk through the process and practice ahead of time to assist the children with the changes. Below is a picture of the school with the three exits labeled for class dismissals.

Children will wait with their class inside the building near the assigned door and dismissed to you outside. We will continue to check photo ID’s as our daily practice. If you will be picking up a child from another classroom in addition to your child, please communicate this with the classroom teacher or the office prior to pick up so that we can make accommodations.
Dismissal will continue to be at 2:55 at each of the exits. As always if you are running late, please call the office to notify us. Your child will be waiting with us in the office until your arrival. As with any change, it will take time before it becomes a smooth process. I thank you in advance for your help and cooperation.
